Photo by Joel WashingI just bought myself a new 1 TB hard drive. It is a Samsung SpinPoint F1 (HD103UJ) and it has 32MB of cache and runs at 7200RPM. So far it has been a great investment. It has not had a problem sucking up my 600GB worth of file I threw at as soon as I got it!
The speed is pretty good, a lost faster than the old IDE drives I had in this machine. Formatted it has a usable space of 931GB formatted on a Windows 7 system using NTFS file format. My motherboard recognised it straight away without a hitch, my motherboard is about 3 years old. Read the rest of this entry
