Photo by OrcooI have just placed my order for a new graphics card. It is the XFX NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT 512MB. Yes I know it is not an all singing all dancing GFX Card to be writing home about but it is still not to shabby at the same time.

The specs seem to be pretty good for a lower end SLi graphics card. It has 112 Processing streams, so that should speed up my video rendering. For all you gamers out there it has support for Full Microsoft DirectX10 Shader Model 4.0, making games more realistic and better 3D rendering. It is dual screen compatible, I cannot live without my dual screen set up.

The best thing about this card though is it has NVIDIA PhysX and NVIDIA CUDA Technology which will speed my computer up as CUDA helps offload some of the CPU processing onto the GPU. I will be doing a report on what CUDA is and going more in-depth into CUDA at a later stage.

All in all it looks to be a good investment, I will be doing a review on this card when it arrives so stay tuned.
